Last summer, I was so honored to capture Joey & Emma’s vintage elegant wedding at DeepWood Estate in Salem, OR. From a candy bar and Grandma being an adorable flower girl, to a floral wall and a harpist, the wedding was chock full of unique details that reflected the couple and their families. One of my favorite surprises was the reception dress that Emma made from her mom’s wedding dress. Paired with cowboy boots, it was such a fun touch to their reception. I found out just a few days before the wedding that there was going to be a television crew taping the entire event. Compared to their five man crew, I felt slightly understaffed with just me running my part of the show! The day went off amazing, and the crew and I worked fabulously together to capture Joey and Emma’s wedding day memories.
It was a once in a life time experience for me, as the photographer, to work with a full crew of videographers. To be completely honest, I was pretty intimidated at first, but realized that I totally have it in me to just go with the flow and take whatever is thrown my way. Emma and Joey, their families and the television crew were all a blast to work with.
During this I was doing the Bridal party photos and I remember how they asked us to keep it down as we were having so much fun (the whole group was amazing to work with, everyone was just so much fun!)
It was so exciting to see their wedding preserved in such a fun and unique way, not just through my pictures, but also through the television show.
Thank you to all the amazing vendors and Joey & Emma for letting me be part of your special day.
